Warehouse Loader
Company Overview:
Dollar Tree operates a fully automated retail distribution center focused on efficient and safe warehouse operations. You will join the Warehouse Loader team, leading a group of warehouse associates to meet operational goals in a fast-paced, 24/7/365 environment. This role is vital to supporting Dollar Tree's mission to deliver products efficiently across its vast network.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Warehouse Loader, you will oversee a group of up to 20 warehouse employees to ensure the secure and efficient function of diverse departments. Your responsibilities will involve managing daily tasks to meet production targets and uphold operational regulations.
• Handle incoming activities by planning, unloading, and authenticating merchandise at the distribution center.
• Supervise the accuracy of order selection by restocking, selecting, and labeling products correctly.
• Manage the shipping procedures by overseeing the effective scanning, loading, and shipping of merchandise.
• Validate the safe functioning and appropriate operation of tools like forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Promote a team-oriented culture by mentoring and assisting warehouse associates in their career progression.
• Uphold effective communication and organizational methods to achieve shift objectives.
• Adapt to working different shifts as needed to sustain uninterrupted operations.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Demonstrated expertise in supervising warehouse activities in a fast-paced, automated distribution facility for three years or more.
• It is preferable to be fluent in both English and Spanish.
• Proven ability to lead effectively and develop the skills of team members through mentorship.
• Advanced knowledge of equipment, tools, and system functionalities.
• Able to work during any designated time slot.
• Proficiency in organizational management and communication prowess.
