CuraScript Specialty Distribution is hiring! Do you have a background in collections and are passionate about collections? Join our team as a collections specialist where you will be responsible for your own portfolio of accounts. The Collections Specialist supports the Accounts Receivable department, makes customer outreach to ensure payments are received timely. This position is responsible for reducing the company's outstanding A/R, working closely with customers, peers, and leadership on daily tasks (verifying customer information, preparing excel statements, researching any cash application problems, etc.).
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 10AM - 7PM Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Pursues collection activities to obtain reimbursement from customers.
Research customer payments, payment application, and partner with cash team as needed.
Perform audit requests on accounts for customers.
Collaborate with the sales team regarding purchase orders, product pricing, and invoice net terms.
Partner with the credit team for any updates needed on customer master.
Daily Outbound/Inbound calls.
Responsible for engaging customers in payment plans as needed.
Process credit payments over the phone.
Analyze accounts for refund
Provide customers with excel reports.
Navigation of multiple applications.
Meeting with customers virtually as requested.
Escalates delinquent and/or complex claims to Sr. Collector for appropriate action.
Other duties as assigned by the leadership team.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED Required.
2+ years collections experience.
PC Skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word.
Detail oriented and strong organizational skills.
Time management.
Self-starter and team player.
Focus on quality and service.
Demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage a heavy workload.
Independent thinker.
Integrity to handle sensitive or confidential information is critical.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 17 - 26 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
