Job Description:
As a Live Chat Support Representative, you will assist Walmart customers with inquiries, orders, account issues, product information, and general troubleshooting via the company’s secure chat interface. This is a non-phone, customer-facing role focused on fast, clear, and helpful responses. No previous experience is required—paid training is provided.
This position emphasizes real-time written communication and the ability to manage multiple customer chats simultaneously with empathy and professionalism.
Requirements:
Must be 18 years or older
Strong typing speed (minimum 40 WPM) and written communication skills
Basic computer literacy and reliable internet connection
Ability to multitask between chat windows and internal tools
High school diploma or GED preferred
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Prior customer service or remote work experience is a plus but not required
Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to customer inquiries via live chat
Resolve product questions, delivery issues, returns, and account concerns
Provide accurate, valid, and complete information by using available tools
Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional tone at all times
Escalate more complex issues to appropriate support departments
Meet performance goals such as response time, customer satisfaction, and accuracy
