Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Wage and Hour Senior Associate or Counsel role at our Malibu, CA office. This is a remote position with occasional in-person court and mediation participation. Responsibilities include managing, litigating, settling wage and hour cases, and all that entails. In addition, there is a heavy emphasis on vetting and preparing new case filings. The role involves collaboration with team members, client interaction, and a commitment to serving a public interest mission through impactful legal work.
Qualifications
• 5+ years' experience, primarily litigating wage and hour actions
• Strong litigation skills, including legal writing, trial preparation, and oral advocacy
• Proficient in legal research, drafting motions, and reviewing case law
• Case management expertise, including multi-tasking, organization, and adherence to deadlines
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities
• Experience in public interest law or practice areas such as class action litigation, employment law, or antitrust is preferred
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar admission in California
• Motivated to pursue meaningful outcomes that promote social justice and fairness
