VPK Assistant Teacher

The Voluntary Pre-kindergarten Education Program, VPK, prepares early learners for success in kindergarten and beyond. VPK helps build a strong foundation for school using educational material corresponding to various stages in a child's development. The VPK Assistant Teacher is responsible for instructing 4-year old's, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the program under the guidance of the Lead Teacher. As an Assistant Teacher, you are:Caring! Follow all licensing guidelines, company standards and grant program requirements to ensure the daily care of every child in your classroom.Engaged! Develop your ability to accurately observe, assess, and plan for children, as well as effectively communicate with families.Knowledgeable! Complete extensive training that provides insight on child care, preschool and development topics.Creative! Implement curriculum while creating fun, interactive learning experiences for the children.We want energetic, dependable, passionate individuals who have:Associates in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related or an active CDA in Preschool.Experience in a licensed childcare center or related field.The ability to meet state requirements for education and our center requirements.Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.Florida Background Screening NoticeEmployment with this school is contingent upon successful completion of Florida’s required background screening.Information regarding Florida’s Background Screening Clearinghouse and screening requirements can be found here:https://info.flclearinghouse.com Company
