Volunteer Virtual Classroom Speaker (Aerospace Engineer speaks with students)
The volunteer opportunity below is a request from an educator for you to interact with his or her classroom. The interaction is virtual so as long as you have a good internet connection and computer or device with a camera, you can participate from anywhere. The goal of the interaction is to bring real world application, professional experience and relevance to what the educator is teaching. Volunteer Virtual Classroom Speaker (Aerospace Engineer speaks with students)
Description
The 6th grade students are working on an earth and space unit. I want my students to understand, what they are learning in school can transition into a career, if they have an interest in it! I'm the career coach at Marley Middle school and would for the students to meet professionals in the careers they are currently learning about.
I would love if the presenter could answer the following questions for the students:
What/who inspired them to pursue this career cluster
Their pathway to this career
What they do on a daily basis
After the presenter talks with the students, I think it would be great if the students had time to ask their own questions and engage.
