Volunteer: Grant Opportunity Researcher
This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections. We’re seeking a volunteer to help us research grant opportunities that align with our mission in the areas of health tech, healthcare access, patient support, and chronic/rare diseases. Optimal participation would be around 2–3 hours/week over 3 weeks. For this role, we’re not asking for help with writing proposals or compiling application materials — just help identifying and organizing relevant grant opportunities. Important Notes: - Only applicants with the required skills and a commitment of 4+ hours/week will be considered. - Please include a LinkedIn profile to streamline the application. - Candidates actively seeking CPT/Internships or OPT are not eligible for this volunteer role. - Wednesdays from 6–7 PM ET are reserved for Taproot meetings. Please keep this time block in mind when proposing additional meeting times. No-shows without prior notice will not be rescheduled. As a nonprofit health tech organization, we rely heavily on grants to sustain our programs. Expanding our list of eligible opportunities will allow us to grow our impact without overburdening our existing donor community. Details will be provided.
