About The Role
We're looking for writers with a sharp eye for film to help train the next generation of AI video models. At Alignerr, we partner with leading AI research labs to build richer, more nuanced understanding of how visual stories are told — not just what's on screen, but how a scene breathes, moves, and feels.
As a Visual Storytelling Prompt Writer, you'll watch video clips and translate them into precise, expressive prompts that capture narrative, camera work, mood, and style. Your words become the blueprint AI models use to understand and recreate cinematic moments.

What You'll Do
• Watch video clips and craft structured prompts that describe the full visual story
• Describe characters, settings, camera angles, movement, and emotional tone
• Balance technical shot detail with narrative and mood — not just what you see, but how it feels
• Produce multiple prompt variants to capture different interpretations of the same scene
• Follow clear style guides for wording, specificity, and point of view
• Suggest alternative phrasings and explain how they shift meaning or emphasis
• Maintain a consistent, high-quality writing voice across large batches of clips
Must-Have
Who You Are
• Strong writing skills with a talent for precise, evocative visual description
• Solid understanding of film language — shot types, camera movement, scene composition, pacing
• Ability to describe what you see without relying on dialogue or script context
• Comfortable following detailed prompt-writing guidelines and adapting to feedback
Nice To Have
• Experience writing prompts for generative AI tools (image or video)
• Background in creative writing, screenwriting, film studies, or storyboarding
• Familiarity with cinematography terminology
