Job Description Summary:
The Virtual Urgent Care Patient Services Associate will work closely and effectively with a diverse population of patients and medical professionals within the Virtual Urgent Care setting. They will demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, professionalism in all interactions and have the ability to multi-task while serving as the first point of contact for... telehealth patients. The Virtual Urgent Care Patient Services Associate will verify all appropriate consents are on file, collaborate with the virtual clinical team to provide virtual/remote support for patients and provide post appointment follow up patient communication as necessary. They will demonstrate proficient data entry skills, uphold confidentiality in all interactions and continually maintain and improve upon job specific competencies. The Virtual Urgent Care Patient Services Associate will also perform other duties as assigned.
Job Description:
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Patient experience:
• Provide exceptional virtual customer service to all patients
• Provide prompt, professional and friendly front-line support for technical and non-urgent clinical issues
• Provide timely communication of lab and imaging results, medication refills and provider referrals to appropriate parties
• Review schedules to ensure accuracy and fill appointments in accordance with CHC scheduling guidelines
• Schedule and reschedule appointments in accordance with CHC scheduling guidelines
• Reconcile patient visits daily
Consents:
• Ensure consent forms are complete and accurate, including assisting patients in completing consent forms
HIPAA:
• Consistently ensure and maintain patient confidentiality
Other:
• Escalate concerns to Operations leadership and offer suggestions for improvement
• Meet and exceed assigned individual and departmental goals
• Other duties and projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
• Associates degree, medical office or medical assistant degree required
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to multitask
• Problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Healthcare experience in Medical, Dental, or Behavioral Health preferred
• Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, preferred.
• Bilingual skills, Spanish speaking
• Remote workers must live and work in the United States* (*Territories Excluded)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Virtual hours will vary; our schedules range Monday-Friday from 7am-7pm and Saturdays 8am-4pm
• Minimal physical effort. Must be able to operate computer and telephone continuously
• Must have a quiet, professional virtual environment and technical set-up in coordination with IT
