Virtual Tax Preparer : Mid Level
The Tax Boss is seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to support our growing firm during the upcoming tax season. This is a seasonal position with full-time hours during tax season, ideal for a preparer who already has a strong tax foundation and wants to expand their expertise in real estate taxation. This role is not entry-level. We are specifically looking for someone with at least 2 years of hands-on tax preparation experience who can work independently while continuing to grow technically. Ideal Candidate • Has a solid tax preparation background and is confident in preparing business and real estate-related returns • Wants to deepen their knowledge in real estate taxation • Is detail-oriented, proactive, and reliable during high-volume tax season • Can manage deadlines and multiple client files with minimal supervision Required Experience & Qualifications • Minimum of 2 years of professional tax preparation experience • Hands-on experience using Drake Tax Software • Intermediate working knowledge and experience in preparing: • Form 1065 with Form 8825 • Form 1120S • Schedule E • Schedule C • Ability to work independently and take initiative in handling client requests • Comfortable researching and resolving complex tax issues Job Types: Part-time, Contract Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour Application Question(s): • Name the three expenses that most real estate schedule E's have? • What do you know about cost segregation Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job
