Job Description Are you passionate about language, attention to detail, and bringing stories to life for a global audience? Netflix is looking for dedicated Virtual Subtitles Creators to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality subtitles for a wide array of our content, from blockbuster movies to critically acclaimed TV series and documentaries. No prior experience in subtitling is required; we provide comprehensive training to equip you with the skills and tools needed to excel. Key Responsibilities • Generate accurate and linguistically appropriate subtitles for various video content. • Ensure precise synchronization of subtitles with audio and video elements. • Adhere strictly to Netflix's established style guides and technical specifications. • Review and proofread existing subtitles to guarantee quality, consistency, and error-free delivery. • Utilize specialized subtitling software and tools effectively after comprehensive training. • Manage time and workload efficiently to meet project deadlines and content release schedules. • Collaborate with project managers and linguistic teams as needed to resolve queries. Required Skills • Exceptional command of English, with strong grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills. • High level of attention to detail and accuracy. • Strong ability to follow complex instructions and style guides meticulously. • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a personal computer with a dual monitor setup (preferred). • Basic computer literacy and comfort with learning new software. • Excellent time management and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently and maintain focus in a remote work environment. Preferred Qualifications • Familiarity with transcription, translation, or linguistic work. • Previous experience with any subtitling software (e.g., Aegisub, Subtitle Edit) is a plus, but not required. • An interest in film, television, and global entertainment content. • Ability to adapt quickly to evolving workflows and technological updates.
