Position Overview:
The Virtual Medical Assistant/Admin will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to our medical team. This is a part-time, remote position that requires excellent organizational and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in the medical field and be familiar with medical terminology.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with scheduling appointments and managing the calendar for the medical team
• Answer and direct phone calls in a professional and timely manner
• Maintain patient records and update information as needed
• Coordinate with insurance companies and process billing and payments
• Prepare and submit medical reports and documents
• Communicate with patients to provide information and assist with any questions or concerns
• Perform general administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
• Keep track of medical supplies and order new supplies as needed
• Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned by the medical team
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a medical assistant or in a similar administrative role
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other office software
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
Contract Details:
This is a part-time, remote position with flexible hours. The contract will be for an initial period of 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance.
Location:
This position is fully remote and can be based anywhere in the United States.
