Virtual LGBTQ+ Mentor
Acceptance from at least one adult can decrease the risk of LGBTQ youth attempting suicide by 40% (The Trevor Project). You can make a direct positive impact on the life of an LGBTQ+ young person. As a mentor, you join a young person one-on-one to support them through life’s challenges and joys. Who you are Here’s what you’ll need to be a mentor • Are LGBTQ • Are 18+ for youth mentorship OR 25+ for young adult mentorship • Are located in the United States • Align with our values • Can commit a minimum of one year to meeting one hour per week with an LGBTQ+ young person • Can complete up to 5 hours of pre-match training • Can complete a background check • Have access to the internet and a device to access the internet, and a quiet, private place to meet remotely Apply tot his job
