Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic, friendly and organized exercise specialist who is passionate about treating obesity as a disease to improve the myriad chronic health conditions associated with weight- including hypertension, type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea and more- to join our team. In this role, you will see patients via telehealth and work with a multidisciplinary team including medical providers, and nutrition specialists to provide best-in-class care and outcomes for your patients - communicating with them both synchronously and asynchronously. Exercise Specialist Duties and Responsibilities: Evaluate client fitness level and skill set to plan reachable goals Educate and demonstrate to clients exercise and injury prevention Create a training plan tailored to client needs Chart and track client progress Motivate and encourage client through positive words via app with high level of engagement Adjust client personalized plans as goals are reached Educate clients on evidence based exercise programming. Adaptable to a wide range of clients of all ages based on their fitness capabilities Willingness to work cooperatively with the Dietetics department on patient fitness plans Exercise Specialist Requirements and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in exercise science, exercise physiology, or kinesiology 2-3 years of hands-on experience in one-on-one coaching, preferably in a clinical or healthcare setting. Clinical experience in a related field is highly desirable. ACSM certification is mandatory, or required within 6 months of hire. Fluency in both Spanish and English languages Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with Arabic-speaking patients. Knowledge of the latest trends and developments in exercise physiology and fitness training. Ability to work independently and manage remote coaching sessions effectively. Empathy , patience, and a passion for helping others achieve their health and wellness goals.
