Position Summary This Online Administrator will work with students, parents, and staff at Idaho Home Learning Academy. The online administrator will be responsible for evaluating a caseload of virtual general education and special education teachers. The administrator will attend other teacher supervision meetings and team meetings as needed. The administrator will also be assigned to other specific areas of focus, such as federal programs, attendance, or discipline. Administrators also spend time collaborating with curriculum partners on student support. Excellent communication skills are essential as much of the job entails speaking with teachers, school counselors, administrators, students, and parents. Extensive knowledge of IHLA policy and processes is essential. This full-time remote position requires a dedicated home office. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Attend IEP and 504 meetings and ensure teachers are meeting the requirements of these students. Serve as the administrator in these meetings. Observe online courses and conduct teacher evaluations. Understand and implement IHLA policies and procedures, and collaborate with IHLA staff and administration to develop and modify them to meet the school's goals. Establish quality relationships via phone, email, and Zoom to build rapport with various stakeholders. Maintain an understanding of current ideas, trends, and practices in online education. Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits, including meeting deadlines, maintaining a rigorous work schedule, managing resources, and attending meetings in a timely and effective manner. Promote a school environment that is safe and conducive to individualized instruction, supports cooperative curriculum development, and emphasizes student learning. Encourage parental involvement in students' education and ensure effective communication with teachers, students, and parents. Ensure that student and teacher conduct and attendance conform to the school's standards and school district policies. Continue to acquire professional knowledge and learn about current developments in the educational field by regularly attending seminars, professional development activities, taking online coursework, attending regional or national-level conferences, participating in workshops, and attending professional meetings. Some of these opportunities will be in person, and overnight travel will be required. Participate in other duties outlined by the Administration. Qualifications: Applicants must have, or be in the process of attaining, a Master's Degree, a current Idaho teaching certificate, and an administrator certification. One or more years of experience in the online setting. Strong interpersonal/human relations skills. Public speaking skills. Ability to teach, instruct, and conduct training sessions. Ability to coordinate with IHLA staff. Ability to work independently. Ability to organize time, projects, and details. High level of reliability and responsibility. Must be a self-starter with the ability to multitask and meet defined deadlines. Must be flexible, committed, energetic, and receptive to change. Ability to plan, organize, and complete complex tasks and evaluate results. Ability to multi-task projects/efforts and meet aggressive deadlines. Ability to operate an extensive number of computer and software programs. Must be innovative and possess a problem-solving mindset to accomplish objectives.
