Virtual Academic Tutor
Tutor Me Education is reshaping how students learn, and we're looking for experienced academic tutors to provide 1:1 and small group virtual instruction to students across the country. If you're passionate about supporting students with IEPs, 504 plans, and diverse learning needs ā and you want the flexibility to build a schedule around your life ā we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll do:
⢠Deliver engaging, individualized virtual instruction tailored to each student's goals, accommodations, and learning profile
⢠Create structured lesson plans that align with student goals, grade-level standards, and the specific accommodations or modifications each student requires
⢠Adapt instruction in real time based on student questions, progress, and engagement
⢠Track student progress and communicate effectively with families and, where applicable, school district partners

Requirements
⢠Bachelor's degree required (degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field preferred)
⢠Experience working with students who have learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, or other special education needs ā whether as a credentialed SPED teacher, paraprofessional, interventionist, or tutor
⢠Familiarity with IEPs, 504 plans, and common accommodations (extended time, chunked instruction, multi-sensory approaches, etc.)
⢠Ability to design and deliver lesson plans aligned to student goals and accommodations
⢠Strong virtual instruction skills ā comfort with video conferencing, digital whiteboards, and keeping students engaged online
⢠Ability to pass a background check
⢠Reliable computer, internet, webcam, and quiet workspace
Preferred (not required):
⢠Active or previous teaching credential, especially in Special Education
⢠Experience with specific methodologies such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading, or structured literacy
⢠Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
