Virginia SIS Assessor
Public Consulting Group LLC (PCG) is a leading public sector solutions implementation and operations improvement firm that partners with health, education, and human services agencies to improve lives. They are seeking a highly motivated and dependable intellectual and developmental disability needs assessor to conduct assessments with individuals eligible for services from Virginia's Medicaid Waivers. The role requires conducting assessments in a professional manner while fostering positive relationships with individuals and their teams.ResponsibilitiesClearly communicate purpose and reason for assessment to individual and other respondentsFosters positive and professional relationships and acts as liaison with internal and external customers to ensure effective working relationships and team building to facilitate the completion and review of assessmentsConduct assessments timely and in a professional mannerConsistency in completing and documenting assessment informationRepresent PCG and the client in a professional mannerSkillsAbility to consistently interact with individuals, family members, guardians, provider staff and others in an appropriate, professional, and respectful mannerKnowledgeable of Person-Centered PracticesProficiency with Microsoft Office tools and/or other online data entryDedication to accomplishing goals and overcoming challengesFlexible, self-starter possessing intellectual curiosityExcellent oral presentation and written communication skillsSolid organization and time management skillsKnowledge of federal, state, local laws pertaining to the programAbility to work both independently and as a part of a teamAn understanding and empathy for participantsAbility to take initiative and prioritizeSuperior organizational and interpersonal skills; position requires the ability to maintain and develop relationships from various environmentsExperience engaging and maintaining strong working relationships with community partnersAbility to develop and evaluate processes and procedures to improve operationsExceptional strength in strategic thinking, analysis, problem solving, organizational leadership and collaborationDemonstrated ability to establish and execute defined goals and objectives to ensure compliance with performance measuresExcellent problem resolution skillsCompassionate and people orientedBachelor's degree in a human service-related field such as Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, SociologyAt least one year's experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilitiesExperience conducting individual assessments with knowledge of behavior rating or psychological testing principlesKnowledge and experience with person-centerednessStrong clinical/social assessment and critical thinking skills requiredMust have broadband internet connection at home (no dial-up)Must be willing to travel and have an active, unrestricted license, reliable transportation and active auto insuranceMust have dedicated home workspace committed to confidentiality of PHIMust be comfortable and familiar with technology including the use of virtual meeting technology (Zoom, Microsoft Teams)Prior experience conducting the Supports Intensity Scale assessment is preferredExperience with Home and Community Based Services waivers preferredKnowledge of medical terminology, behavioral support, and Virginia waiver programs strongly desiredBenefitsMedical and dental care benefits401kPTOParental leaveBereavement leaveCompany OverviewPublic Consulting Group is a consulting company offering management consulting services to public sector organizations and entities.
