We are looking for a talented Video Editor to join the ScaleMath Studios team. You will be responsible for turning recorded footage for tutorials, case studies, and other video content we produce into publishable assets across YouTube and other channels across the portfolio of companies we work with. Example of the type of work: https://youtu.be/QJBz9S8JvtYResponsibilitiesManipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audienceTake a brief to grasp production team’s needs and specificationsReview shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuityTrim footage segments and put together the sequence of the filmInput music, dialogues, graphics and effectsCreate rough and final cutsEnsure logical sequencing and smooth runningConsult with stakeholders from production to post-production processContinuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.Requirements and skillsProven work experience as a Video EditorSolid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolioThorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuityFamiliarity with special effects, 3D and compositingCreative mind and storytelling skills
