They are seeking a talented, detail-oriented Part-Time Video Editor to support in-house multimedia efforts, shaping compelling video stories for various internal communications and ensuring alignment with brand goals.ResponsibilitiesEdit and assemble footage into polished videos that reflect Carriage’s brand and storytelling goalsReview shooting scripts, notes, and raw footage to create a shot/scene decision list that supports continuity and narrative valuePerform advanced editing tasks: cutting, trimming, sequencing, pacing, b-roll selection, and narrative structureApply color correction and/or color grading, audio enhancement, basic cleanup/mixing, and finishing touchesAdd titles, lower thirds, light motion graphics, and simple visual effects when neededEnsure final edits match creative direction and objectives provided by the task ownerManage multiple projects at once while meeting deadlines and communicating progressOrganize media, proxies, project files, and deliverables (clear naming/versioning)Export and deliver platform-ready versions (web, internal channels, social) in required specsConduct quality control (audio levels, captions if applicable, brand accuracy, export settings)Work closely with the Senior Multimedia Specialist on priorities, timelines, and feedback roundsCommunicate clearly, ask the right questions early, and keep projects moving efficientlySkillsProven experience editing professional video content (portfolio required)Proficiency in Adobe Premiere ProStrong sense of pacing, storytelling, and attention to detailComfortable editing interviews, executive messages, event recaps, and training-style contentAbility to take feedback well and iterate quicklyDependable and organized, able to manage files and deadlines without hand-holdingAfter Effects experience (basic motion graphics, titles, lower thirds)Audio cleanup tools/workflows (noise reduction, EQ, compression basics)Color workflows (Lumetri, LUTs, basic grading)Familiarity with Frame.io (or similar review tools), SharePoint/Drive/Dropbox workflowsExperience creating multiple cuts for different audiences/platformsCompany OverviewCarriage Services, Inc.
