Video Editor
Position Summary The Video Editor is responsible for producing high-quality short-form and long-form video content to support brand awareness, audience growth, and engagement across social platforms. This role creates timely, informative, and fast-paced videos aligned with enterprise tech and developer-focused news, driving traffic back to media sites, newsletters, and event registrations. The Video Editor plays a key role in expanding social presence, launching new channels, and supporting audience acquisition strategies. Job Details Work from Home Monday to Friday | 8:00 pm – 5:00 am (Manila time) Will follow US Holidays Responsibilities Short-Form Video Production Produce 8–10 short-form videos weekly (30 seconds to 2 minutes). Identify timely, trending, or high-impact tech stories to cover. Write concise scripts for daily video content. Record, edit, caption, and package videos with appropriate graphics and overlays. Add clear calls-to-action (CTAs) to drive traffic, event registrations, or newsletter sign-ups. Submit content for Editor-in-Chief approval prior to posting. Coordinate publishing with the Social Media Coordinator. Long-Form Video Production Produce two in-depth videos per month (3–8 minutes). Create content such as platform updates, enterprise IT changes, industry breakdowns, and expert insights. Develop long-form scripts, conduct light research, and ensure high-quality editing. Performance & Optimization Monitor performance metrics (views, watch time, shares, click-throughs). Identify high-performing topics and formats; test new hooks and styles. Adjust content strategies based on data insights. Optimize content for traffic, follower growth, newsletter sign-ups, and event conversions. Content Strategy & Collaboration Work with editorial teams to ensure coverage aligns with enterprise IT and developer news. Expand reach by launching new TikTok and Instagram channels. Support cross-posting for relevant brand-specific accounts. Collaborate with NPD, commercial, and editorial stakeholders as needed. Platform & Workflow Management Maintain consistent posting schedules. Coordinate approval workflows. Prepare video assets for embedding in websites, newsletters, or event pages. Participate in strategy discussions for Phase 2 video expansion (YouTube, website integration, content repurposing). Key Qualifications Proven experience in video editing, content creation, and short-form video production. Strong understanding of trends on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Ability to identify emerging news quickly and convert it into compelling video content. Strong scripting, storytelling, and pacing abilities. Skilled in editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, CapCut, Final Cut, or equivalent). Ability to work at pace while maintaining high production output. Strong sense of timing, visual storytelling, and audience engagement. Comfortable interpreting performance metrics and optimizing content accordingly. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with editorial leadership. Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to deliver consistently under tight deadlines.
