Vice President Trading
We are seeking a
Product Team Lead / Subject Matter Expert (SME)
to serve as a domain authority and execution lead within a fintech product organization. This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and operations, providing deep subject matter expertise while leading a small team responsible for delivering critical financial technology capabilities.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in financial systems such as payments, clearing and settlement, ledgering, or banking infrastructure
Key Responsibilities
• Lead a small cross-functional team (analysts, developers, or product specialists) delivering fintech platform capabilities
• Serve as the
domain SME
for financial workflows such as:
• Clearing & settlement
• Payments processing
• Reconciliation and ledgering
• Trade lifecycle or banking operations
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable functional specifications
• Partner closely with engineering to ensure accurate system design and implementation
• Drive issue resolution across production, client onboarding, and operational support teams
• Review and validate product designs for financial accuracy, completeness, and compliance
• Act as escalation point for complex domain or product-related issues
• Ensure consistency and integrity of financial data flows across systems
Required Qualifications
• Experience in fintech, financial services, or enterprise banking technology
• Strong domain expertise in at least one of the following:
• Payments or card networks
• Clearing & settlement systems
• Core banking or ledger systems
• Capital markets infrastructure
• Experience leading or mentoring small teams (formal or informal leadership)
• Strong understanding of end-to-end financial transaction lifecycles
• Ability to work closely with engineering teams in agile or hybrid delivery models
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience at a financial technology provider (e.g., Broadridge, DTCC, banks, or payment processors)
• Experience supporting production systems or client-facing implementations
Core Competencies
• Deep financial domain expertise
• Technical fluency (not necessarily coding, but system understanding)
• Team leadership and execution ownership
• Strong communication across technical and business stakeholders
• Problem-solving in complex, high-stakes environments
