**Key Responsibilities:**
As a Veterinary Customer Services Representative, you will be responsible for:
* Responding to routine, complex, and medical emergency situations in a professional manner
* Answering and directing internal and external calls appropriately
* Creating accurate day-to-day admitting information through the hospital computer system
* Resolving routine problems and complex situations using appropriate medical terminology, office practices, and procedures, and established customer service principles
* Maintaining safe and accurate money handling practices and abiding by all university privacy standards
* Other duties as assigned
**Requirements:**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* 2 years of experience in a customer service, healthcare, or veterinary care environment
* Background in customer services, insurance verification, and/or veterinary practice customer services
* Ability to work in a self-directed manner while interacting with customers, visitors, clinicians, technicians, and all other medical center faculty and staff
* Experience in analyzing and interpreting information
* Experience with electronic medical records systems and/or at least experience operating computers
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software
* Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
