Key Responsibilities
• Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify high-potential investment opportunities in emerging sectors.
• Develop robust financial models to support due diligence, valuation, and forecasting for potential and existing portfolio companies.
• Prepare and present clear, data-driven investment memos and reports for internal stakeholders and partners.
• Track industry trends, deal flow, and startup ecosystems to inform strategic investment direction.
• Collaborate closely with investment professionals and portfolio companies to assess financial health and growth strategies.
• Maintain comprehensive databases of market data, investor activity, and industry benchmarks.
• Communicate complex findings with precision, ensuring insights are accessible for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling and valuation techniques within the venture capital or investment space.
• Proven experience conducting market research and competitive intelligence in technology, startups, or high-growth industries.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft concise, compelling narratives from complex data.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools; familiarity with data visualization software is a plus.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team, managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree (MBA or related) or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA).
• Prior experience in a venture capital or private equity research analyst role.
