Valuation Manager, Fine Jewelry & Watches (Santa Monica)
About the Role
As a Valuation Manager at TheRealReal you will facilitate daytoday valuation appointments, serving clients who visit our Luxury Consignment Office. You will price and authenticate items, support supply drives through valuations, remote pricing, and educate consignors and customers. Your expertise will help create a worldclass experience.
What You Get to Do Every Day
ā¢ Facilitate all valuation appointments, providing a relaxed, noncontentious experience that educates clients on the value of their items.
ā¢ Conduct realtime valuations and authentication for handbags using a wide array of industryspecific tools.
ā¢ Provide preconsignment pricing services to consignors and sales team members as directed by the Luxury Consignment Office.
ā¢ Maintain a strong understanding of pricing trends and the sellthru velocity of fashion items in our marketplace by working with the Pricing and Authentication teams.
ā¢ Accountable for the sellthru and velocity of product you have priced personally.
ā¢ Accountable for the conversion rate of appointments to consignments.
ā¢ Work with the Store Manager to understand customer needs and stay current with instore operations.
ā¢ Handle all other requests as necessary to support the Luxury Consignment Office and Retail Store as determined by Senior Manager, Valuations Team.
What You Bring to the Role
ā¢ Flexible to work certain weekend days.
ā¢ 25 years experience working in the luxury space in a customerfacing role.
ā¢ Knowledge of luxury handbags in the primary or secondary market.
ā¢ Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university (preferred).
ā¢ Sales experience is encouraged.
ā¢ Passion for delivering a luxury experience each and every day.
ā¢ Polished, professional presentation skills.
ā¢ Ability to handle multiple complex, timesensitive situations while remaining calm, cool and collected.
ā¢ Effective communicator (both verbal and written).
ā¢ Demonstrates the skill and willingness to take initiative and to proactively anticipate organizational needs, including the ability to meet external and internal deadlines as required.
ā¢ Ability to foresee potential obstacles well in advance of campaign launch dates and to problemsolve in order to ensure proper execution of Valuation office processes.
