Utilization Management Clinician Behavioral Health Night Shift 4 days
About the position
Responsibilities
• Utilize clinical skills to coordinate and document all aspects of the utilization/benefit management program for preauthorization of mental health services.
• Communicate effectively with clients and healthcare providers regarding treatment options and preauthorization processes.
• Apply critical thinking to assess and determine the appropriateness of treatment plans based on clinical guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all interactions and decisions made during the utilization management process.
• Stay informed about the latest evidence-based practices and clinical guidelines in behavioral health.
Requirements
• 3+ years of post-clinical licensure experience in behavioral health.
• 3+ years of knowledge of mental health and substance abuse disorders.
• Valid unrestricted independent professional behavioral health clinical license to practice per state regulations in the state of residence (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LMHC, LCMHC, LICSW, LISW, Clinical Psychologist, or RN).
• Ability to use a residential broadband service with internet speeds of at least 25 mbps/3mbps.
• Ability to talk on the telephone and type simultaneously in a queue-based job.

• Direct clinical experience in a hospital setting.
• Prior Utilization Management experience.
