US Law Clerk - Associate - Vancouver

As an Associate Law Clerk specializing in Immigration, you will manage immigration processes for corporate clients, ensuring compliance with immigration laws and providing exceptional client service. Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for corporate clients seeking immigration support Understand the unique immigration needs of each client and develop tailored immigration plans Handle the end-to-end immigration process for employees, including visa applications and work permits Prepare and review immigration forms, petitions, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance Interpret and apply Canadian immigration rules to ensure client compliance and avoid potential legal issues Advise clients on immigration processes, timelines, and potential risks Maintain accurate and organized case files for each client, ensuring all documents are securely stored and accessible Ensure commercial awareness by efficiently recording time and supporting billing activities Prepare and submit necessary documentation to government agencies and authorities Communicate effectively with clients, government officials, and internal teams to ensure seamless information exchange Liaise with third-party providers, consulates, embassies, and immigration authorities to stay updated on immigration rules and resolve case issues Handle unexpected challenges during the immigration process with professionalism and efficiency Provide regular updates to clients on the status of their immigration cases or changes to immigration rules Use tools and techniques to extract insights from trends in immigration law and business areas Address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and courteously Train and mentor new/junior team members on case management and immigration law applications Stay up to date with changes to relevant immigration laws, regulations, and policies Assist with the implementation of relevant technology platforms based on the service line you are working in Skills Strong understanding of Canadian immigration laws, visa applications, and work permits Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate case files Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet tight deadlines Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle unexpected issues efficiently Proficiency in immigration case management software and standard office tools Commercial awareness, including understanding billing processes and managing scope creep Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, legal teams, and government officials Bachelor's degree Law, Immigration Law, Legal Studies, or related fields 1-3 years of experience in immigration law Licensed by the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) or certification as a Paralegal Company Overview Vialto Partners providing globally integrated solutions supporting global workforce mobility.
