This role offers a salary package of a competitive salary, commensurate with experience.   Job title: T1 Fresh Start Tutor Company: School District U-46 Job description : To provide additional support to students who are in need of assistance to reach their academic goals. The teacher tutors would provide researched based support for mathematics. Job Duties / Responsibilities Review curriculum for content area and grade level for students served in a given tutoring session. Guide students in activities to identify skill gaps ? e.g. students partner with classroom teachers to verify skills needing improvement then share feedback with tutor. Assist in determining student needs and review those needs periodically to support students' performance in math. Create individual and small-group instruction plans for students to improve academic performance. Education Bachelor's Degree required Experience / Knowledge Maintains in-depth knowledge of the Common Core State Standards Familiarity with math content. Willing to learn and implement researched based strategies to support students learning. 6-12 Teaching Certificate (Math). Motivating students to learn mathematics. Physical Demands Must adhere to a fast paced schedule. Must be able to monitor computer uses while working with a small group. Terms of Employment Tutoring will start in September 2023 and will finish in May 2024. Tutors will receive an hourly rate of $28.67, which is the established U-46 Instructional Rate.
