Job Title: Database Administrator Location: Remote Duration : 6 -12 months C2HVisa : USC or GC Only Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Migration DBA/DB Engineer to migrate of our legacy, large database from DB2 platform to PostgreSQL platform. The candidate would be responsible for assessing the current DB2 environment, designing and implementing the migrating strategy and ensure a smooth transition tpo PostgreSQL environment with minimal downtime. Responsibilities Very strong hands-on experience with heterogeneous database migration from DB2 to PostgreSQL Database Design and determine a best approach for Database migration, including data conversion, schema changes and any application modifications with stored procedures, functions etc.Analyze current query patterns and create an efficient indexing strategy for performance optimization on PostgreSQL.Develop and execute Migration planMigrate Database, schemas, data and permissions.Test and validate the migrated database for data consistency, data integrity, schema consistency and application functionality.Troubleshoot, resolve, and document migration issuesCollaboration with Application teams.
