Job Title: Material HandlerJob DescriptionAs a Material Handler, you will engage in a variety of tasks essential to the smooth operation of our production facility. Your day-to-day activities will include cycle counting, data entry, forklift driving, and operating a saw, all while maintaining a strong focus on safety. You will utilize computer systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy in your work.ResponsibilitiesPerform cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.Enter data accurately into computer systems.Operate forklifts to transport materials safely.Utilize saw equipment for material handling tasks.Maintain safety standards at all times.Read and interpret measurements using a ruler.Collaborate with team members to ensure efficiency in warehouse operations.Essential SkillsForklift operation proficiency.Warehouse experience.Material handling expertise.Basic computer knowledge.Math reading skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED.Minimum of 1+ years experience in a warehouse or production environment, preferably in a metals or manufacturing facility.Experience with inventory control, packing, and shipping.Why Work Here?Join a team dedicated to safety and efficiency in a dynamic production environment. The facility employs 150-160 full-time employees and requires wearing jeans, a t-shirt, steel-toed shoes, and PPE provided by the company. Shifts are available as follows: 1st shift from 6am to 2pm, 2nd shift from 2pm to 10pm, and 3rd shift from 10pm to 6am.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.20 - $20.20/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
