About the position The Urban Planner position at AECOM involves supporting the Federal Planning Group in delivering planning solutions for various federal agencies. The role emphasizes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with federal guidelines while contributing to sustainable urban development. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for both in-office and remote work, and provides opportunities to gain valuable experience in urban planning within the federal context. Responsibilities • Assist planning teams on multi-disciplinary master planning projects for military installations worldwide • Conduct research, gather and analyze planning-related data • Contribute to the authorship of planning reports • Support project teams in data collection, data analysis, preparation of plans and maps, report production, and workshop/meeting documentation • Support planning workshop facilitation • Produce maps and exhibits using GIS Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or Geography • 2+ years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • Ability to travel • US citizenship is required for this position Nice-to-haves • 4+ years of experience in master planning/site planning • Proficient in crafting clear, concise, and compelling written communication • Strong GIS and/or CAD skills • Capability to analyze data pertaining to space utilization, development constraints, and future requirements • Exceptional ability to capture and synthesize complex information through meticulous note-taking Benefits • Medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, disability benefits • Paid time off • Leaves of absences • Voluntary benefits • Perks and well-being resources • Employee assistance program • Business travel insurance • Service recognition awards • Retirement savings plan • Employee stock purchase plan Apply tot his job
