UPS Maintenance Technician 100% Travel Role | Salt Lake City Based
Position Overview
BigFoot Staffing is hiring 12 UPS Technicians for a confidential client supporting critical infrastructure and defense sites across the U.S. This role is ideal for early-career techs who thrive on the road, value structure, and want to gain hands-on experience with some of the top UPS systems in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
ā¢ Perform routine preventive maintenance visits on UPS systems
ā¢ Conduct battery checks, code inspections, and light diagnostics
ā¢ Flag and escalate issues beyond scope to senior technical teams
ā¢ Represent our client professionally at secure federal or commercial sites
ā¢ Travel approximately 150 nights per year (100% reimbursed with downtime built in)
Must-Have:
ā¢ 25 years of experience with UPS equipment or electrical systems
ā¢ Willingness to travel nationwide year-round
ā¢ U.S. citizenship (required for site access)
ā¢ Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently
Nice-to-Have:
ā¢ Certification from any of the following: Toshiba, Eaton, Schneider, PQ360, Xtreme, NXT Power
ā¢ Background working for UPS OEMs or service partners
ā¢ Active security clearance or prior federal site experience

Pay & Benefits
ā¢ Salary: $70,000 $80,000/year

ā¢ Phone Benefit: $100/month phone allowance or company-issued phone
ā¢ Certifications: Access to manufacturer-specific UPS certification programs

Location:
Remote-based with national travel
