Benefits • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Vision insurance Field Service Engineer – UPS / Critical Power Home-Based We are seeking an experienced UPS Field Service Engineer to support commissioning, maintenance, and emergency service of mission-critical power systems. This role is home-based with regional travel to customer sites including data centers, healthcare, and industrial facilities. Key Responsibilities • Commission, start up, maintain, and troubleshoot UPS systems and related equipment • Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs • Troubleshoot to the component level on UPS, batteries, PDUs, and STS • Execute commissioning test procedures and complete detailed service reports • Develop and follow Methods of Procedure (MOPs) • Provide technical recommendations to improve system reliability Required Qualifications • 3–5+ years of critical power / UPS field service experience • Strong component-level troubleshooting skills • OEM factory training or significant experience with • Vertiv / Liebert / Emerson • Schneider Electric / APC / MGE • Eaton / Powerware • Ability to read electrical schematics and manufacturer documentation • Strong customer service and communication skills • Willingness to work nights/weekends as needed • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs Preferred • Third-party UPS service experience • Technical degree or military electrical/electronics training This role is ideal for seasoned UPS professionals seeking autonomy, technical challenge, and the opportunity to support mission-critical environments.
