About the Role As a United Airlines Texas International Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data systems that drive business intelligence and analytics. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions with various applications and platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and insights. Key Responsibilities: Cloud Computing: Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable software systems using public clouds like AWS, leveraging Java and Flash technologies. Data Engineering: Provide expertise in building PySpark-based systems for data integration, monitoring pipelines, and implementing solutions with various applications and platforms. Data Pipeline Development: Design, create, and implement streaming and near-real-time data pipelines that feed critical business systems. Problem-Solving: Collaborate with teams to define and execute data acquisition, transformation, processing, and analytics initiatives that drive business revenue and growth. DevOps: Support Pre-Endlessly nudge conditions, including solution deployment, pipeline monitoring, and incident management. Mentorship: Tutor and train junior engineers to ensure knowledge sharing and team growth. Agile Methodologies: Utilize Agile techniques to manage projects and drive continuous improvement. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree: BS/BA in Computer Science or related STEM field. IT Experience: Stretches of IT experience in software development, with a focus on Java, Python, and Scala. Big Data Technologies: Experience with Big Data technologies like Flash, Hadoop, Hive, HBASE, Kafka, and Nifi. Linux: Stretches of experience with Linux Red Cap Organization. Database Systems: Experience with database systems like MS SQL Server, Prophet, and Teradata. Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in India for any business without sponsorship. English Proficiency: Conversant in English (written and spoken). Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree: Master's in Computer Science or related STEM field. AWS Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Specialist - Proficient or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Expert. Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud-based systems like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Agile Methodologies: Solid experience with continuous integration and delivery using Agile techniques. Industry Experience: Data engineering experience in the transportation/carrier industry. Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
