Join our growing team where everyone belongs!Position Details What You Will Do Reporting to the Manager - LHT, the Underwriting Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the underwriting team.- ensure all policies are issued within service standards with the appropriate wordings, schedules, and certificates attached- Verification of insurance certificates issued by our brokers.- Communicate directly with brokers to track current quote requests.- Assist underwriters with the pre-selection of quotes and summarize basic exposures.- Completion of worksheets- Gather and review information for monthly activity reports- Review, prepare, create, request and send incoming and outgoing mail, reports and forms- Other assigned duties, including managing the team's inbox
Who You Are - Post-secondary education- Interest in CIP program- 1-3 years of experience in a similar position- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and strong interpersonal skills- Excellent customer service skills- Ability to work in an environment fostering teamwork- Ability to thrive in a highly structured, detail oriented environment.
