Underwriting Assistant I

AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to join their team in Morristown, New Jersey. The role involves entering monetary transactions, reconciling reports, maintaining customer service, and supporting underwriting standards and procedures. Responsibilities Enter all monetary transactions (bound accounts, endorsements, cancellations, etc.) into our system Reconcile monthly corporate reports Forward loss run requests to brokers Update all spreadsheets daily (Local Bordereau, Renewal Log and Master Log) Send weekly policy draft list, renewal updates, accounts to be peer reviewed to the respective underwriter Maintain a high level of customer service Assist in the development and maintenance of new and existing broker relationships Promote the growth and strong reputation of ANV Global Services / AmTrust Group Assist in underwriting business in accordance with ANV’s policies / procedures, Professional Lines Business Plan and Underwriting Guidelines to support in maintaining high underwriting standards and discipline including adequate pricing, analysis, and retention to ensure delivery of profitable results Other related duties as assigned Contribute and participate in all meetings to develop knowledge of market dynamics and to help support the performance of the team Skills PC Literate with emphasis on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills Excellent internal and external communication, interpersonal and listening skills Must be a team player who enjoys a fast-paced business and entrepreneurial environment College degree a plus Benefits Medical & Dental Plans Life Insurance, including eligible spouses & children Health Care Flexible Spending Dependent Care 401k Savings Plans Paid Time Off Company Overview AmTrust Financial Services, Inc., through its subsidiaries, operates as a multinational property and casualty insurance company.
