Underwriting Assistant

They are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Underwriting Assistant to support their Property & Casualty insurance underwriting team, assisting underwriters with policy processing, risk assessment support, and client service. Responsibilities Provide administrative and technical support to underwriters in the review and processing of insurance applications Prepare, review, and issue policy documents, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations Perform preliminary risk assessments and identify missing or incomplete information Enter and maintain accurate data in underwriting and policy management systems Communicate with brokers, agents, and clients to obtain additional information or resolve discrepancies Assist in monitoring policy renewals, deadlines, and compliance requirements Prepare underwriting files, correspondence, and reports as needed Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely policy issuance Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries in a professional and timely manner Skills Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism Excellent computer skills (emailing, computer rating) Provide research and analytical skills to identify, gather and organize information to provide recommendations Proficiency in Microsoft office applications (particularly, excel, word, and outlook) in PC-windows operating system Ability to learn new software applications Proven ability to work with goals Demonstrated effective communication skills Multi-lingual in spoken Chinese (mandarin or cantonese) U.S. BACHELOR DEGREE MINIMUM Benefits Competitive Compensation Industry Leading Healthcare Savings and Investments Charitable Giving Programs Offering hybrid work option Opportunities for Growth Parental Leave Generous time away Comprehensive medical insurance, dental insurance, and vision insurance; life and disability insurance; fertility benefits; wellness resources; and paid sick time.
