Ubuntu/Linux User for AI Data Training
We are looking for people who regularly use Ubuntu/Linux. No prior AI experience is required. If you are comfortable working in Ubuntu, installing applications, following instructions, and completing technical tasks independently, we would like to hear from you.
As an AI Data Trainer with Linux/Ubuntu, you will work remotely on an hourly paid basis to support AI data training projects through structured, detail-oriented tasks. You will install applications and record your actions while completing tasks with patience, concentration, and strong attention to detail.
This role requires you to have your own computer running Ubuntu/Linux and to be comfortable installing the applications and tools needed for the project. While advanced AI experience is not required, you should be tech-savvy, reliable, careful with instructions, and able to work independently.
This role is a good fit for students, junior candidates, Linux enthusiasts, and other tech-savvy individuals who are patient, focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with Ubuntu/Linux.
This is a fully remote, hourly paid contractor role with SME Careers, a fast-growing AI data services company and subsidiary of SuperAnnotate that provides AI training data to many of the worldβs largest AI companies and foundation model labs. Your work will directly contribute to improving AI systems used across products and industries.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Follow detailed written guidelines and apply them carefully
β’ Install and use required applications on an Ubuntu/Linux computer
β’ Check work for mistakes before submission
β’ Identify inconsistencies, unclear instructions, or technical issues when they arise
β’ Maintain focus during repetitive or detail-heavy tasks
β’ Complete assigned work within agreed weekly availability
β’ Communicate clearly with the project team when support is needed
β’ Contribute to improving the quality of AI model training data
Your Profile
β’ Have access to a personal computer running Ubuntu/Linux
β’ Be comfortable installing required apps, tools, and project software
β’ Be tech-savvy and able to follow setup instructions independently
β’ Be available for approximately 15 hours per week
β’ Be patient, concentrated, and detail-oriented
β’ Be able to follow written instructions carefully and consistently
β’ Be comfortable completing structured and sometimes repetitive tasks
β’ Have basic computer literacy and confidence using browser-based tools
β’ Be reliable, responsive, and able to meet task deadlines
β’ Student candidates and junior applicants are welcome
β’ Previous experience in AI data training, data annotation, QA, software testing, or research tasks is helpful but not required.
