tutoring pre-PHD level academic writing/argument-making
Goal: I am looking for a tutor to teach me proper academic writing, help me develop a “taste” for good writing, and possibly devise steps for improvement, with the aim of getting into Tier 1 UK university PhD programmes (King's, Edinburgh; Warwick, UCL, Manchester, etc). Depending on my progression, I am targeting either 2026 or 2027 entry. If my level is currently too low, I will prioritise a 3+1 route, or, to a lesser extent, a research MA. Due to competition, I feel like I need to publish something first to prove my academic ability before successfully getting into a PhD programme. I am currently working on an article on STS/NHS/epistemology/sociology of medical knowledge (critical social research/STS studies/qualitative and theory). I might be wrong, and would welcome suggestions of more realistic routes. Background: History, Philosophy, Information Studies background, 2:1 at one of the mentioned Uni. Apply tot his job
