Olympic College is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Tutor to join our team at the Shelton Campus. As a Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting students in achieving their academic goals by providing individualized instruction and guidance in a variety of subjects. This is a part-time position with a competitive hourly rate of $18.20 - $24.23, and an opportunity to work up to 18 hours per week.

Responsibilities
Provide academic support for students in one or more non-STEM related subject areas
Assist students in analyzing assignments and assigned readings
Interpret discipline-specific problems and situations
Clarify critical thinking and/or communication skills
Assist students working in an online format
Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
High School Graduate, Equivalent, or Current Running Start Student
Completion of course(s) to be tutored with an average decimal grade of 3.5 or higher
Basic computer competency
Reference from an instructor or professor (if a current Olympic College student)
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrate excellence in tutoring subject area
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Adaptability and flexibility
Customer service skills and appreciation of diversity
Terms of Employment
Part-time position, up to 18 hours per week
Competitive hourly rate: $18.20 - $24.23
Hours worked are limited to 79 hours per month or 450 hours in a 6-month period
Flexibility in scheduling is required
