Truck Driver
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver no CDL required to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting goods across various routes. This role requires proficiency in operating different types of trucks, including 2-1/2 ton Lumber bob tail . A successful Truck Driver will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
Duties
• Operate various types of trucks, including , flatbeds, and lumber dump trucks.
• Safely load and unload freight, ensuring proper securing of cargo for transport.
• Navigate assigned routes efficiently while maintaining compliance with all regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues on the road.
• Utilize forklifts when necessary for loading.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and during down times in the lumber yard to enhance company reputation.
Experience
• Proven experience in truck driving with a valid driver’s license.
• Familiarity with various truck types, 2-1/2 ton and 1 ton 4 wheel drive.
• Experience as a delivery driver or in freight transportation is highly desirable.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
• Knowledge of safe driving practices.
