Trip Director
Job Description:
Travel For Teens is looking for qualified candidates to be Trip Directors for programs throughout Europe, Oceania, Asia, North America, and Latin America. This position carries the highest level of responsibility and potential program leaders must be at least 25 years old by the start of summer. Preference is given to candidates able to commit to at least two summers. Successful candidates are reliable, passionate about travel and different cultures, and have experience working with youth. All staff must attend mandatory training either in person or virtually in late May or early June 2025. Trip Directors typically start as counselors and move up to direct unless they are candidates who have experience in guiding teen travel.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring the safety of our group
Managing a team and executing itineraries
Creating and maintaining a positive environment
Teaching and infusing knowledge of the locations we travel
Creating lifelong enjoyable memories
Keeping a clear line of communication with parents and office staff
Completing day-to-day tasks that include errands and odd jobs
Managing a budget and funds
Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Fluency in English
Leadership skills
Ability to maintain a positive attitude
Intimate knowledge in locations and cultures where we travel
Experience and a passion for working with teens
Experience managing a team
Travel experience in the locations where we travel
Ability to drive a 9-15 passenger van for domestic programs
Ability to work with little time off and limited personal time
Photography skills are a bonus
