Trial Attorney

Kimball, Tirey & St. John LLP is an established real estate law firm with offices across California, seeking a Trial Attorney for their San Diego office. The successful candidate will be responsible for litigating unlawful detainer actions in California state courts on behalf of property owners and managers. Responsibilities Litigate unlawful detainer actions in California state courts on behalf of property owners and managers Defend and conduct depositions Provide legal advice through phone consultations, assessing the facts and issues of each scenario and counseling clients accordingly Respond to client questions and concerns in order to increase and retain business Work with legal staff to prepare motions, pleadings, stipulations and other trial-related court documents Propound and respond to discovery, depositions, and motions Skills J.D. and active California Bar license 1 to 3 years of trial experience Strong oral advocacy and writing skills Knowledge of trial procedure, related motion work and evidentiary rules Ability to work with people of all educational, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds who may have differing communication abilities Must be willing to spend multiple days per week in court Knowledge of unlawful detainer law Jury trial experience Contact with the rental housing industry Benefits Medical Dental Vision Life Disability insurance 401(k) Paid vacation Sick time Company Overview Kimball, Tirey & St. John LLP provides exceptional legal representation in a wide range of business and real estate matters.
