Trendy Shopify Designer for Korean Skincare Brand (Must Understand MZ Aesthetic)
Hi! I’m Jun, a Korean-American entrepreneur based in NYC. I’m launching a Korean Skincare Pharmacy retail concept in NYC and preparing multiple Shopify websites to support the brand.
I’m looking for a design-savvy, culturally fluent creative who lives and breathes digital aesthetics and modern trends—especially in the beauty, skincare, and lifestyle space.
You must:
- Have great taste and be plugged into style, social media, and youth culture
- Be active on your own Instagram, TikTok, or other SNS so I can see your design sense and aesthetic direction
- Understand the K-beauty and Gen Z/Millennial aesthetic (minimalism, tone-on-tone colorways, elegance with edge)
- Not just a developer—you should understand visual trends and creative branding, not just code
If you’re someone who’s disconnected from current style, social media, or modern design culture, this won’t be a fit. I’m not looking for generic agency work or offshore devs without design instinct.
Projects:
1. Skincare Brand Website (Shopify)
- Start from scratch with high-quality AI-generated mockups (no product yet)
- Build a digital-first brand identity that’s trend-forward, clean, and emotionally resonant
- Reference: modern Korean brands like Hince, Glow Recipe
2. K-Beauty Ecommerce Clone (Shopify)
- Clone an existing Korean beauty site with smart design improvements
- Features like bilingual UX (Spanish, English), mobile-first UI, clean product organization
Skills Needed:
- Shopify web design/development
- AI product mockup generation (e.g. Midjourney, Leonardo AI, DALL·E, Nano banana, Whisk, etc )
- Branding with emotional and aesthetic impact
- UX/UI for beauty or lifestyle consumers (especially Gen Z)
- Spanish/English bilingual content design (site structure, labels, buttons, banners, etc.)
- BONUS: Bilingual web builds, SEO, content strategy, motion design
