What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide customer service to taxpayers through verbal and written communication
- Review and process tax forms and correspondence
- Handle extensive phone and computer work
- Resolve customer inquiries and problems effectively
- Maintain a safe and appropriate designated workspace for remote work
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school
- One year of experience responding to customer inquiries and resolving problems for the Treasury Customer Service Representative 6 level
- Two years of experience for the Treasury Customer Service Representative 7 level
- Three years of experience for the Treasury Customer Service Representative E8 level
- Must have a secure and sufficient internet access with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in providing customer service in a call center environment
- Knowledge of tax return preparation and tax statutes
- Familiarity with remote work environments
- Ability to multi-task and continually re-prioritize job assignments
