Duties and Responsibilities Provide high-quality occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed OT across various rural healthcare settings. Assist with carrying out individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and established OT goals. Provide therapeutic interventions including ADL retraining, functional mobility activities, therapeutic exercises, and use of appropriate modalities (as permitted by state practice acts). Document interventions, patient progress, and responses to treatment accurately and in a timely manner. Educate patients and families on safety, adaptive techniques, home exercises, and strategies to support greater independence. Adapt smoothly to new clinical environments, workflows, and patient populations. Collaborate with OTs and multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, effective care. Monitor patient performance and communicate observations to the OT to help inform ongoing treatment planning. Participate in continued professional development and contribute to a positive, supportive team culture. Requirements Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program (or anticipated graduation). Current COTA license (or eligibility) in at least one state we serve; willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed. Strong adaptability and comfort working in diverse clinical environments. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues. Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence. Interest in rural healthcare and supporting rehabilitation teams across multiple communities.
