A skilled Registered Nurse with telemetry experience is needed for a contract position in Oak Ridge, TN. This opportunity involves providing high-quality nursing care on a telemetry unit, utilizing critical thinking and clinical skills to support patient monitoring and treatment plans. Candidates must be prepared to float as needed and work within a team nursing model where applicable. Key Responsibilities: • Monitor patients using telemetry equipment, assessing and responding to changes in condition • Administer medications and treatments according to prescribed protocols • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care • Maintain accurate patient records using Cerner EMR and Omnicell medication system • Comply with hospital policies and maintain patient safety and confidentiality • Participate in orientation and ongoing training as required Desired Qualifications: • Current RN license with telemetry nursing experience • Ability to pass EKG competency testing prior to assignment start • Basic Life Support (BLS-AHA) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred • Comfortable working with patient ratios averaging 1:7-8 under a team nursing model • Flexibility to float across units as needed Location Overview: Oak Ridge is a vibrant city set in East Tennessee, renowned for its rich history in science and technology.
