Travel Reservations Agent (REMOTE)
This is a remote opportunity. Applicants must be located in the United States
The Travel Reservations Agent will be responsible for providing expert travel advice, planning itineraries, booking travel arrangements, and offering exceptional customer service. This role demands a passion for travel, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
Ā Consult with clients to determine their travel needs, preferences, and budget.
Ā Research, plan, and book travel arrangements including flights, hotels, car rentals, tours, and activities.
Ā Provide detailed itineraries and travel documents to clients.
Ā Offer advice on travel destinations, visas, health and safety requirements, and local customs.
Ā Stay updated on the latest travel trends, destinations, and industry changes.
Ā Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to travel plans efficiently and professionally.
Ā Maintain and manage client profiles, ensuring all preferences and past travel experiences are recorded.
Ā Process payments and provide invoices and receipts to clients.
Ā Collaborate with travel suppliers and partners to secure the best deals and services for clients.
Ā Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance travel knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
Ā High school diploma or equivalent; certification in travel and tourism is a plus.
Ā Proven experience as a travel agent or in a similar role within the travel industry.
Ā Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ā Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote work environment.
Ā Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ā Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
Ā Reliable internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace.
Ā Flexibility to work most hours including evenings and weekends or as dictated by client meetings.
