Travel Occupational Therapist Houston TX
About the position
Unlike working for agency after agency, with our travel program, you get to work for a company that offers local and non-local positions. You will work with one recruiter from start to finish and assignment to assignment. We offer a competitive hourly rate in addition to a tax-free stipend (if applicable) with no pay cuts mid-contract. We also offer a referral bonus (up to $1000 per referral!), license reimbursement if traveling to a new state where a new license is required, and your pick of assignments at partner facilities from various health systems across the country.
Responsibilities
• The Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing and directing Occupational Therapy services to patients, including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication in assigned locations.
• Functions under a physicians order.
• Supervises the following positions: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) and Rehabilitation Aides/Therapy Techs.
Requirements
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy, where accepted. Masters degree required otherwise.
• NBCOT registered and licensed per state of practice requirements.
• Current, valid, and active license per state requirements in the state of employment required.
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.
• Current, valid, and active driver's license required.
• Ability to travel using publicly available air and ground transportation.
• One (1) year of experience preferred.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
