Job Description:
We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our long-term care facility team in Geneva, NY. As a CNA in our facility, you will play a vital role in providing essential care and support to our residents, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities:
ย Assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
ย Monitoring and recording vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
ย Assisting residents with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting and transferring techniques.
ย Providing emotional support and companionship to residents.
ย Responding promptly to residents' needs and requests, ensuring their comfort and safety.
ย Assisting with medication management, ensuring residents receive the correct medication at the scheduled time.
ย Reporting any changes in residents' condition or concerns to the nursing team.
ย Documenting accurate and detailed records of residents' care and progress.
ย Following all healthcare regulations, protocols, and facility policies and procedures.
ย Maintaining a clean and organized environment for residents, including their living spaces and common areas.
ย Collaborating effectively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and therapists, as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
ย Participating in staff meetings, training programs, and educational sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
ย Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in New York State.
ย Proven experience working in a long-term care facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.
ย Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
ย Strong compassionate nature and a genuine desire to provide care and support to individuals in need.
ย Ability to handle stressful situations and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
ย Physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients and equipment as required.
ย Basic knowledge of medical terminology and infection control protocols.
ย Ability to maintain confidentiality of residents' medical information.
ย Availability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
