The Transportation Engineering Technician (TET) will operate the Regional Transportation Management Center and engage in traffic management activities and data collection for traffic monitoring programs. Responsibilities Perform duties and activities including, but not limited to, 24 hours a day - 7 days a week operation of the Regional Transportation Management Center (RTMC) and related traffic management activities Traffic data collection and related office work for the traffic monitoring programs in the Division of Traffic Operations May be assigned by the Department to a variety of positions in an office or field environment Skills Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Transportation Engineering Technician exam Possession of a valid driver's license is required when operating a State owned or leased vehicle Candidates selected for this position must successfully pass a Department of Justice background check Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment If you are basing your eligibility on education, you must include your unofficial transcript(s)/diploma for verification Applications must be received or postmarked by the Final Filing Date in order to be considered Resume is optional.
